Looking for a way to boost his failing Parisian wine shop, a snobbish Brit named Steven Spurrier sets up a tasting in California's Napa Valley, confident that the American offerings will enable his French wines to shine; but when he comes across a cheeky little Chardonnay made by Jim Barrett and son he begins to realise this may not be the white wash he was hoping for.
