Chev Chelios has just run out of luck, a man of highly dubious morals his days in the LA underworld come crashing to a halt when he discovers he's been injected with a drug that results in his heart ceasing to beat. Chev's only hope, until he can find an antidote, is to keep the adrenalin thumping through his system and, to this end, he sets about becoming a one-man wrecking crew. Reminiscent of an updated 50s B-movie Crank is a remarkably twisted main stream action movie, brutal, grotesquely hu find out more...

Darkly comic, preppie psycho thriller, firmly in the "Scream" mould, with the urban myth that straight A's are automatically awarded to any student whose room-mate tops themselves as its premise. College boys Chris and Tim have partied way too hard and haven't a hope of getting into Harvard... unless, that is, their room-mate Rand were to do the decent thing and commit suicide.......................! Derivative but devilishly enjoyable. find out more...

Intersplicing clips of all those old heroes, like Bogart, Ladd, Stanwyck, Milland, Lancaster, Laughton, Cagney, with comic clips of Steve Martin as a keen, but clumsy detective who gets all the good lines, creates both an extremely funny comedy and a whodunnit in the best possible taste. find out more...

A dazzlingly visual and atmospheric piece of cinema. The location is futuristic France with Doomsday looming. The setting is a butcher's shop run by a crazed cannibal. Add some peculiar tenants, the barbarous landlord's love-struck daughter, and some vegetarian freedom fighters, and you have a devilishly original, stylish black comedy. find out more...
DIG! (2007)

A documentary following the contrasting fortunes of indie darlings The Brian Jonestown Massacre and The Dandy Warhols, both hell-bent on staging a self-proclaimed revolution of the music industry in the mid 1990s. The friendship between respective founders, Anton Newcombe and Courtney Taylor, escalated into bitter rivalry as the Dandy Warhols achieved major international success while the Brian Jonestown Massacre imploded in a haze of drugs, band in-fighting and unchecked egotism. find out more...

Italians, Koreans and African Americans are struggling to keep a lid on the tensions within their Brooklyn community, but Sal's pizza parlour provides the perfect social hub for the neighbourhood. However, as a sweltering hot day drags slowly on, racial tensions evolve from petty bickering to full scale violence and ... WHY WON'T THAT GUY TURN OFF HIS FREAKIN' RADIO!!!! Excuse me. A controversial but mature film from Spike Lee. Incendiary, compelling and highly recommended.

DRIVE (2011)

A mysterious Hollywood stuntman, mechanic and getaway driver lands himself in trouble when he helps out his neighbour.
Well, this film looks set to become one of the best of 2011. The cast gets where director Refn is coming, adjusting their performances to pitch-perfect minimalism, where even a twitched muscle can stand out. Gosling has never used his physicality better (he's not given a lot else to work with) and this movie is testament to the power of his screen presence. Even more re find out more...

There is much to admire about this funny and touching British comedy, not least of which, is its box office takings - £10 million prior to its video release.
